The goal of this project is to develop new and complementary aspects for PASCIH's PMTCT ARV Program, so that it may address community health needs through health promotion/education, health worker training and the development of a PMTCT curriculum based on PASCIH's learnings to date, and psycho-social support for families affected by HIV/AIDS participating in the PASCIH PMTCT Program.

Pakistan - Providing Medical Consultation Free of Charge in Kyber Pakhtuwnkhawa PDF Print E-mail


CURRENT PROJECT

The project will provide 6700 people from poor communities suspected of having cancer with free medical consultation including review of available diagnostic (Radiology & Pathology) reports (the “Medical Consultation”) at Walk-in-Clinic of the Organization at Peshawar, Pakhtunkhawa. Eligible patients may, at sole discretion of the Organization, be accepted for financially supported treatment at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital as per guidelines of its walk-in clinic.

For this project, IDRF acknowledges the financial support of Human Emergency Assistance And Rehabilitation Trust (HEART).

CURRENT PROJECT

The project aims to contribute to reductions in maternal mortality by providing holistic sustainable social development in selected poor rural communities of Bangladesh. The project will focus on the improvement of maternal and newborn health outcomes through interventions, focused on medical, cultural, and social factors, addressing the Maternal Child Health challenges facing the population of 100 villages in two sub-districts of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

For this project, IDRF acknowledges the financial support of the Government of Canada provided through the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA).
