Kenya -Community Solid Waste Management (SWM) in Waruku Informal Settlement

CURRENT PROJECT

The goal of this project is to establish the capacity for effective community managed solid waste management systems in Waruku village. The project envisages tapping the potential of unemployed youth in the area by creating employment in addition to strengthening social cohesion within Waruku village to address environmental sanitation in the entire settlement. This will be done by bringing together the landowners, tenants and those living on public land to address the solid waste management and drainage challenges jointly.
