The project contributed to sustainable livelihood development and income generation through capacity development of 160 marginalized rural women.
Project Objectives
The objectives of this project were as follows:
- To facilitate 160 marginalised rural women to start entrepreneurial activities
- To build capacity and self-confidence among rural women entrepreneurs through pertinent training, which would help them continue and expand their entrepreneurial activities for sustainable livelihoods.
- To give technical assistance on catering and sewing/knitting etc. so that rural women entrepreneurs can start entrepreneurial activities. Experts at the training facility will be available to provide this support.
- 6-month long technical skills training courses will be organized for two batches of 80 women each. Half of them will receive training in sewing/embroidery and the rest will receive training in food preparation.
