PAST PROJECTGuyana Women Livelihood Development
The project contributed to sustainable livelihood development and income generation through capacity development of 160 marginalized rural women.

Project Objectives

The objectives of this project were as follows:

  • To facilitate 160 marginalised rural women to start entrepreneurial activities
  • To build capacity and self-confidence among rural women entrepreneurs through pertinent training, which would help them continue and expand their entrepreneurial activities for sustainable livelihoods.
  • To give technical assistance on catering and sewing/knitting etc. so that rural women entrepreneurs can start entrepreneurial activities. Experts at the training facility will be available to provide this support.
  • 6-month long technical skills training courses will be organized for two batches of 80 women each. Half of them will receive training in sewing/embroidery and the rest will receive training in food preparation.
