We wish this Ramadan you are gifted with blessings of Allah and many treasured moments of joy.
IDRF (International Development and Relief Foundation) provides necessary relief aid to survivors of natural or man-made calamities and supports development programs to help alleviate poverty in Asia, Africa, the Americas, Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
We ask that you support our work at IDRF by responding in your usual generous manner by making Zakat, Sadaqah and Fitrah contributions below:
With your Fitrah contribution, IDRF will support some of the poorest families in Gaza. Families will receive food parcels that will last 5 weeks instead of just one day. These foods will be purchased locally from small impoverished Gaza farmers and producers. This approach will bring a double benefit, providing food security for families while supporting agriculture and livelihood in Gaza.
Through your Zakat, Fitrah and Sadaqah contributions in 2015, IDRF was able to touch many lives:
Distributing clean water in Palestine, India, Nepal & Pakistan
Providing education in Canada, Guyana, Kenya, Turkey, Palestine, India & Pakistan
Ensuring health care in Zambia, Guyana, India & Pakistan
Providing relief aid in Lebanon, Palestine, Nepal, Pakistan & Myanmar
Your generosity also allowed us to give 1.4 million dollars of aid to Syrian refugees and helped sponsor Syrian families to Canada.
HOW YOUR ISLAMIC GIVING MAKES A DIFFERENCE
When a conflict or a natural disaster strikes, your Zakat and other funds equip IDRF to immediately provide emergency relief, such as critically needed clean water, food, shelter and medical care for injuries.
FOOD & WATER
In regions where water is inaccessible and there is severe shortages of food, we use innovative strategies to provide clean drinking water and develop sustainable sources of food.
Poverty makes health services out of reach, so we use your funds to give poor families the health care they desperately need.
EDUCATION & EMPLOYMENT
Since literacy is the key to the future of any child, we work hard to provide education to those who are neglected. We also create programs of livelihood development so that parents can support their families and other dependents with dignity.
