OUR WORK IN CANADA

WOMEN LEARN TO CODE

IDRF is pleased to announce a new partnership with The United Way Greater Toronto and Lighthouse Labs to implement Coding and Web Development to Women in the GTA. This program will train women between the ages 18-29 on HTML, CSS and Web Development. In addition, participants will also receive job readiness training that will educate them on how to navigate the Canadian job market..

GET JOB READY

For young people in Canada, finding a job can be extremely difficult. They often have the education, work ethic and potential to thrive in their prospective careers, but need to develop practical skills such as writing Resumes and Cover Letters, preparing for Job Interviews, developing a LinkedIn profile and most importantly, networking.

In order help young people overcome the aforementioned challenges, IDRF is proud to offer Get Job Ready! This program teaches Canadians between the ages 18 -29 how to navigate the job market and develop the practical tools vital in securing employment.

LICENSED TO LEARN

IDRF is actively investing in the success of our future generations. Licensed to Learn, provides thousands of students from across the Greater Toronto Area each year with the means to excel in school and beyond. Through free academic support and leadership opportunities, students develop the critical skills needed to succeed: self-confidence, independent problem-solving, mentorship, and more.

Our program specifically targets communities of youth who are typically excluded from, or unable to afford, these essential programs. At the senior levels, our students often leverage their experience in the program for volunteer hours or school credit, and even to secure their first job!
