Forgotten Ones

06 September, 2017 Emergency Response
More than 400,000 Rohingya Muslims have fled to Bangladesh since August 25th, amidst allegations of mass killings and the systematic burning of Rohingya villages by Myanmar security forces. Approximately 400 have been killed in the clashes with Rohingya fighters and government security forces, with 80% of those affected women and children.

An estimated 400,000 Rohingyas are forced to live in schools and community centres, and refugee camps in Bangladesh. These people are now fleeing to a country that has been flooded and has left hundreds of thousands displaced and lacking access to basic food and clean water.

Our response: In Bangladesh, we are working to provide emergency aid to refugees that have fled Myanmar and have now found refuge in Bangladesh.
