“Ramadan is the (month) in which the Quran was sent down, as a guide to mankind and a clear guidance and judgment (so that mankind will distinguish from right and wrong)..” (Q2:183)

At IDRF we are committed to ensure that the world’s most vulnerable people can live with dignity and become self-reliant.

This Ramadan your donation of Zakat, Sadaqah, Fitrah and Fidya/Kafara will provide food, water, and sustainable programming to those who need it the most.

Note: At IDRF we are committed to managing your funds and being accountable to you as our donors with full transparency. To do this, we are committed to ensuring that the funds you have selected are designated to the appropriate country. In the event IDRF receives funds that cannot be designated to the country selected, then please know that the funds will be redirected to support other vulnerable communities that are in urgent need.

Your contributions help to support our 3 key initiatives this Ramadan

Our 1 Million Meals initiative provides three meals a day for Somalian, Syrian and Rohingya Refugee families.

$60 feeds a family for a full month – Somalian, Syria and Rohingya Refugees

More than 700,000 Rohingyas have fled to Bangladesh. To mitigate the overwhelming humanitarian crisis, IDRF is supporting 60,000 Rohingya refugees with emergency food aid in Myanmar and Bangladesh.

An estimated 5.4 million people, including 2.8 million children are in need of humanitarian assistance in Somalia. To help alleviate this crisis, IDRF is distributing food parcels in Ramadan.

The syrian crisis has resulted in over 400,000 people killed and 11.3 million people requiring health assistance. IDRF is distributing emergency food packages for vulnerable Syrians.

Our 1 Drop initiative seeks to provide access to clean water to those impacted by drought and conflict in places such as Pakistan, India and Palestine.

Provide clean drinking water to vulnerable individuals in Somalia, Gaza, Pakistan and India

$100 provides a water kit, ensuring clean drinking water for 1 year to a family in Somalia

$800 helps us install a hand pump in Pakistan that supplies clean water to an entire village

To address the cholera outbreak in Somalia, we have sent 1500 water filtration kits and we plan to continue our clean water distribution efforts on the ground in the coming months.

We are constructing rainwater harvesting tanks, installing water filters and rehabilitated water reservoirs. Over 2,000 people across 20 villages benefited from these projects.

We are installing hand pumps and latrines and distributing kitchen gardening seed and school care packages. 22,000 people will be positively impacted during this project.

IDRF has provided approximately 41,786 Gaza students with clean water across 60 schools. Our current project is providing 23 schools and kindergartens with clean and safe water.

Our Fitrah project will provide immediate food relief for vulnerable families. This project will also help impoverished Gaza farmers and small bakers through the purchase of their produce and baked goods.

$10 ensures nutritious food for the most impoverished families in Gaza during this holy month of Ramadan

Over 1,000 families will receive weekly food parcels for 5 weeks and 130 farmers and women’s cooperatives will benefit from the sale of their produce during the Holy Month of Ramadan.
